ILI and SARI Surveillance along the California & Arizona Borders with Mexico, 2011-12

NHRC, in collaboration with the CDC and local public health officials, conducted ILI and SARI surveillance along the US-Mexico border in California and Arizona. In 2011-12, 295 ILI specimens and 335 SARI specimens were collected and tested. influenza A was the most common pathogen identified in the ILI (outpatient) specimens and RSV was the most common pathogen identified in the SARI (hospital) specimens.Published
