Author Biographies

Thorsten Siegmann

Thorsten Siegmann studied Cultural Sciences at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder), Germany and at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. From 2007 to 2011 he worked at the Institut für Museumsforschung of Staatliche Museen zu Berlin and was in charge of the euromuse.net Internet portal and the EU-funded project euromuse.net (2008-2010). In 2011 Thorsten became the coordinator of the EU-funded projects Europeana Collections 1914-1918 at Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin - Preußischer Kulturbesitz. He was involved in the coordination of several EU-projects in the museum and library sector. Currently, Thorsten is responsible for the coordination of all digitisation efforts at Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin.

 

Thomas Meyer

Thomas Meyer studied history and computer science; he obtained his master´s degree in recent and modern history in 2002. From 2002-2008 he worked as research associate in the frame of the DFG-project Clio-online. In the course of the project he developed specialist and thematic portals. Since 2008 he is responsible for the web-editing of H-Soz-u-Kult Clio online, administration and programming as well as IT-services at the Department of History, Humboldt-University Berlin.
