Author Biography

Marina Petrauskienė

Marina PetrauskienÄ— was born in 1955. She grew up and was schooled in TelÅ¡iai. Since 1979 she has been working at the Samogitian Museum “Alka†(the city of TelÅ¡iai, Lithuania). Her main area of scientific research is photography of the Samogitian historical and ethnographical region, as well as photography of the district of TelÅ¡iai. She often participates in expeditions and projects, and organizes exhibitions. Since 2010 she has been an organizer of an ongoing photography contest “Ode to my cityâ€. She has prepared a number of articles about photography and its development in TelÅ¡iai. In 2007 she compiled and published a photo album-catalogue “Chaim Kaplanski. Western Lithuania, late-19th mid-20th centuriesâ€
