Author Biography

Rossella Caffo, Ministry of Culture and Cultural Activities, Rome, Italy

Rossella Caffo is Director of the Central Institute for the Union Catalogue of Italian Libraries and Bibliographic Information (ICCU), and is entrusted by the Italian Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities to follow ministerial initiatives dealing with new technologies applied to cultural heritage, such as the Italian Culture Portal. She has coordinated European projects as MINERVA/MinervaPLUS/MinervaEC, MICHAEL/MichaelPLUS, and she is now coordinating other European project as ATHENA, DC-NET, Indicate. Since 2007 she is Italian representative in the Member States Expert Group on Digitisation and Digital preservation, set up by the European Commission.
