Author Biography

Miranda Bakiasi

bakiasi.jpg Miranda Bakiasi received her diploma in Albanian Language and Literature from the Faculty of History Philology at the University of Tirana in 1992, following it with a Master, Second Degree in Librarianship. From 1988 to 1998 she was Head and Specialist Librarian at the Library of University of Arts, and since 1998 she has been the Director of the Library. Since 2006 she has also been Coordinator of eIFl.net (Electronic Information for Librarians) for Albania, and since 2003 she has been a member of the University of Art Senate. She is the author or co-author of numerous publications, including ?The Role of Libraries in the knowledge-based Information Society? at the EIFL international consortium in 2010, and has carried out several projects supported by sources such as the Soros Foundation and the World Bank.
