About the Journal

Focus and Scope

Uncommon Culture provides unique perspectives on a rich variety of cultural activities in Europe. Examining cultural institutions and their collections, this magazine gives new insight into diverse cultural activities.=

Peer Review Process

Articles in the Key Articles and Short Articles sections are either peer-reviewed or invited. Peer-reviewed Articles are read by at least one reviewer in addition to the Editorial Team. Our goal is to review articles promptly, within four weeks of submission, although the speed with which individual reviewers respond is beyond our control. Reviewers are asked to review articles for their clarity, suitability for the journal, originality, and some attention is paid to geographical coverage. Authors should provide suitable references from the journal literature to support their arguments and analysis. The use of links to electronic sources is encouraged strongly.

Publication Frequency

Beginning in 2011, Uncommon Culture publishes 4 issues per year (March, June, September, December). In 2010, a single Preview Issue was published in December.
