Joy Austria

Joy Austria earned an M.L.I.S at Dominican University in River Forest, Ill. She recently completed a research project studying evaluation criteria for science podcasts, which will be published later this year in the journal Libri. She plans to continuing her research on podcasts in the future.

While working on an undergraduate degree in nursing at Loyola Univeristy Chicago, Joy worked for two years at WLUW 88.7 FM. She was the assistant news director, a news anchor, and an on–air music personality.

In her non–existent spare time Joy enjoys all things Whedonesque, feeding her iPod, twisted animation, live music, catching up on comic books and occasionally sleep.
