Olga Barkova

Olga Barkova is the deputy director of the "Specialized Centre BALI", LTD (Kiev, Ukraine); Vice-chairman of The Technical Committee for standardization of Ukraine TC 144 "Information and documentation"; Scientific employee of the National Center 'Minor Academy of Sciences of Ukraine"; Coordinator in Ukraine of the Europeana Foundation projects (2013-2015) Linked Heritage, Athena Plus, EuropeanaPhotography). She holds a PhD in Information Technologies. Olga is a specialist in ICT for education, science, culture and Digital Heritage spheres: information technologies and systems, software development, research, management, teaching and training. She has many years of experience working in state information institutions and commercial companies as a scientist, computer engineer and ICT technologist, manager of projects, head of departments, and manager of training events. She collaborates with universities, memory organizations, and international projects in Europe and the United States on information services, technologies and systems, and, in recent years, for Digitized Heritage, carrying out professional training.
