<b>United Kingdom</b>: Kids in Museums Manifesto

Dea Birkett is Director of Kids in Museums, a visitor-led organisation working with museums and galleries to make them more welcoming of families, in particular those who have never visited before. An award-winning writer, journalist and broadcaster, she frequently contributes to national newspapers, radio and television. She is also Creative Director of Emmy-nominated film company Many Rivers Films, and a director of TextWorkshop, delivering writing workshops to museums and galleries. Among her literary awards, she has won the Somerset Maugham Award for her book Serpent in Paradise.
